You’ll also get to visit historical places such as Ancón Valley, where Fidel Castro held secret revolutionary meetings and Cueva de los Portales, Che Guevara’s hideout. Day 1 – Arrive to Cancun
Your Cycling Cuba Tour starts as you arrive to the airport of Cancun. You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to Hotel Rey del Caribe or similar.

Day 2 – Fly to Havana and Explore Habana Vieja Independently
After breakfast in your Cancun hotel, you will be transported to the airport. When you arrive to Jose Marti Havana International Airport, your professional naturalist guide will meet you and take you to your hotel. There, your guide will give you a briefing about the tour. You will be free to have lunch and dinner on your own as you explore Habana Vieja independently. In the evening, you will stay in a private house. (B)

Day 3 – Visit a Tobacco Factory and Rum Distillery in Pinar del Río
You will have breakfast at your hotel. Then, you will go to Pinar del Río. In this famous tobacco region of western Cuba, you will visit a tobacco factory and a rum distillery that produces “guayabita”. Next, you will go on a tour of the town. In the evening, you will stay at Hotel Los Jazmines or similar. (B/D)

Day 4 – Bike to the Picturesque Island of Cayo Jutias
After a tasty breakfast, you will cycle to a small island called Cayo Jutías on the north coast of Pinar del Río. The island and the mainland are connected by a man-made dam. When you reach the island of Cayo Jutías, you can have lunch on its beautiful beach, swim in the sea, or hire a boat. Afterwards, you will ride back to Viñales, Pinar del Rio and stay in Hotel Los Jazmines or similar for the night. (B/D)

Day 5 – Cycle on Jagua Vieja Road and Appreciate Ancón Valley
After breakfast, your Cycling Cuba Tour continues as you bike on Jagua Vieja Road to La Palma in Ancón Valley. You’ll love the quaint scenery and pristine valleys. Along the way, there could be a chance to visit a country lodge where Fidel Castro had secret meetings during the Cuban Revolution. After a picnic lunch in the green valley, you will be taken to the next destination. You can then go on a short walk in the beautiful landscape. At night, you will rest in Hotel Los Jazmines or similar. (B/L/D)

Day 6 – Ride to Soroa and Visit the Orchid Gardens and Historic Caves
After breakfast, you will take a van to La Palma. Then, you will ride to Soroa. Along the way, you can visit the famous orchid gardens and the Cueva de los Portales. Che Guevara used these caves to hide out during the standoff with President Kennedy in 1962. After a picnic there, you will continue on to Soroa. In the evening, you will stay in Hotel Villa Soroa or similar. (B/L/D)

Day 7 – Bike to the San Juan River and Las Terrazas
In the morning, you will have breakfast. Then, your Cycling Cuba Tour continues as you bike to the San Juan River and see its little waterfall in a lush forest. You’ll also see small lakes, ruins, 19th-century coffee plantations, and sulfurous wells. The most well-known attraction is Las Terrazas. In the evening, you will have dinner and stay in Hotel Villa Soroa or similar. (B/D)

Day 8 – Enjoy a City Tour of La Habana to Important Cultural and Historical Sites
After breakfast, you will cycle from Las Terrazas to Havana. There, you will go on a city tour in La Habana. On that tour, you will get to see the “Malecon”, El Prado, the Miramar area, Borque de la Habana, Colon Cemetery, and the Revolution Main Square.

Next, you’ll stop by the National School of Ballet. One of the teachers will talk with you and tell you what ballet and dance represent to Cubans. Afterward, you’ll get a taste of Habana’s rich history as you visit sites such as the Hemingway Museum, the beautiful view of Cojimar, the Morro Fortress, and the Monument of Redentor Christ. After that, you’ll talk with a University of Medicine scholar and learn about Medical Social Security in Cuba. You will walk in La Habana Vieja. Finally, you will stay in a private house for the evening. (B/D)

Day 9 – Fly from Havana to Cancun
In the morning, you will have breakfast and be transported to the Havana airport for your return flight to Cancun, Mexico. When you arrive to Cancun, you will be transferred to Hotel Rey del Caribe or similar to stay the night. (B)

Day 10 – Depart from Cancun, Mexico
After breakfast, your Cycling Cuba Tour will come to an end as you are transported to the Cancun airport for your flight home. (B)
