On this Antigua walking tour, you’ll start in the main square, learning about the history of this amazing city and taking in the view of Volcano Agua from the second floor of city hall. Continue to the cloister of Capuchinas, a great example of colonial architecture. Visit San Francisco el Grande Church, the resting place of Hermano Pedro, the first saint in Central America. Not only is it important historically, it is also one of the best preserved churches in Antigua. Compare San Francisco el Grande to the beautiful baroque facade of Nuestra Señora de la Merced. The tour ends in a jade factory, where you can compare the traditional Mayan process to how it is done today.
