Acatenango is a stratovolcano in Guatemala, close to the city of Antigua and popular with tourists. Join us on a 2 days 1 night tour as we bring you to climb up this amazing volcano and take in spectacular views from up above!
This volcano has two peaks, Pico Mayor and Yepocapa. It is joined with Volcán de Fuego and collectively the volcano complex is known as La Horqueta. For this tour, we will first bring you to the Acatenango Volcano Base Camp, 3600 meters (11811 feet) above sea level. Then on the second day, you will climb up to the summit, 3976 meters (13044 feet) above sea level.

Day 1: Antigua – Acatenango Volcano Base Camp

09:30 am: Start of ascent to Acatenango Volcano Base Camp
14:30 pm: Approximate arrival at base camp

Day 2: Acatenango Volcano Base Camp – Acatenango Volcano
04:00 am: Rise and shine
04:30 am: Start of sunrise trek (1.5 hours)
06:00 am: Return to Base Camp
07:30 am: Breakfast at Base Camp
08:30 am: Start of descent
11:00 am: Arrive at base of Acatenango Volcano, snack and evaluation
