The Cultural Food Tour Lima Peru kicks off with a visit to the Market — a 100% local spot where you’ll find restaurant buyers, housewives, traders, and more, all crowding in to explore the diverse array of fruits and vegetables from all around the country.
After this, you’ll head to the historic center, where you’ll be able to observe the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s residence and the Presidential Palace. You’ll also visit the Church of San Francisco, which is world-renowned for its underground catacombs, dating back to the colonial era.
For lunch you’ll enjoy Peru’s flagship dish: ceviche. These sublime fish and seafood cocktails, gently marinated in fresh lime juice, are a Lima staple.
Finally, you’ll walk off lunch and head to the National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History. This museum has one of the most impressive collections of pre-Columbian artifacts. You will also learn all about the pre-Hispanic cultures of the Andes.
This tour is from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday – Sunday. Prices vary per person depending on the number of travelers in your group.
