Discover what it’s like to live in an indigenous Naso community in rural Panama!
Located in La Amistad National Park right by the Costa Rican border, the Naso community combines modern and traditional rural lifestyles in one of Panama’s most beautiful jungles. Several members of the community work together to receive travelers and show them the wonders of the surrounding jungle, as well as how the Nasos live now and how they lived before. Travelers can tour the community for the day, hike the nearby trails, or stay the night in the community or in the jungle.
The following few options are available – you can do a day hike alone, with a local guide and roundtrip transport included, or travel by boat down the Rio Teribe and visit various Naso communities. Overnight stay options are also available – the community has cabaña-style homes designated for receiving guests, or if you are adventurous enough, camp in the jungle (which includes a guide and food provided)
Duration: Full day/2 Days 1 Night
