On this hiking tour, you will get to explore Sumidero Canyon National Park by walking along its main river. This park is home to a variety of exotic birds and has been internationally-recognized as an important bird conservation and wetland area. Marvel at majestic trees reaching heights of 50-82 feet high (15-25 meters). This tour is ideal for travelers who love exercise and nature, as you get to enjoy fresh air and wonderful landscapes.

After being picked up at your hotel, you will drive to a bridge. Under the bridge is El Sumidero River, which flows into the canyon of the same name. You will descend from the road to the river to start your hike along the riverbanks.
As you continue walking, you will get to do a dynamic canyoning activity of low difficulty level, accompanied by certified guides. Further in the canyon, you will pass by small, beautiful waterfalls and crystal-clear natural pools. There, you can take a dip in the cool water and appreciate the lush riverbank vegetation. Along the way, you can also see a variety of bird species.
After a while, you will stop to rest and enjoy a snack. Then, you will ascend on a path into the jungle. Finally, you will reach the road, where a vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Tuxtla.
