Start your day off with a trek through the hills of the southern Yucatan to the Calcethok Mayan caves. Once we get there after a moderately difficult hike, we will head down to a marvelous subterranean world that served as both a shelter and a ceremonial center for the ancient Maya. You’ll have plenty of time to take it all in as you observe elements of ancient Mayan culture among stunning natural beauty. Later we will visit Chocholá and other communities with amazing cenotes, natural water holes created by collapsed limestone, to refresh and enjoy a tasty local meal. If you’re looking for a way to experience the natural beauty of the ancient Mayan world, this is your chance!
