Discover Fascinating Maya and Spanish Attractions in Izamal

This tour leads you through the sacred Mayan city and sanctuary of Izamal, also known as the City of Three Cultures or the City of the Hills. You will be astounded by the natural beauty, archaeological sites, and history of the city and the Yucatan Peninsula.

Also, admire the great Franciscan Convent of San Antonio de Padua. This site serves as the most important reminder of the Spanish Conquest, domination of the New World, and conversion of the Maya to Catholicism. The convent has the largest atrium in Latin America and was built over an ancient Mayan pyramid.

You can see other important archaeological structures during a carriage tour, such as the pyramid of Kinich Kak Mo, whose height gives it a spectacular view of the city.
