Itinerary

Your morning tour from Merida to Dzibilchaltun will begin with 8:00 hotel pick-up in Merida and a quick 10-minute transfer to the Dzibilchaltun archaeological complex. Upon arrival, you’ll explore the site with your guide and explore highlights such as the Temple of the Seven Dolls and the 16th century Catholic church honoring the Virgin of Guadalupe.

On-site, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the grounds with your guide, and visit the recently renovated Mayan museum. Here, you’ll see outstanding Mayan artifacts from across the region.

Finally, if you’re interested, you can walk to the nearby cenote — a turquoise blue freshwater limestone waterhole typical of the Yucatan, and a likely factor in why the Maya chose this site for a major city. As the morning ends, you’ll be driven back to Merida in time for lunch!
