Day 1 – Marvel at Waterfalls: Minas Viejas, El Meco, El Salto, and El Toro
Your Eco Tour Mexico starts with an excursion to see some of the most beautiful waterfalls of the area: Minas Viejas. This 164-foot (50-meter) waterfall deep in the rainforest will amaze you with its beautiful blue water. Next up, you will visit three more majestic waterfalls: El Meco (115 feet/35 meters), El Salto (230 feet/70 meters), and El Toro (66 feet/20 meters).
Day 2 – Wander the Labyrinth Path of the Edward James Garden and Explore Huahuas Cave
Today you will get to see a unique place: the garden of Edward James. There, you can find stunning concrete structures interspersed within the garden, giving the place a surreal quality. After that, you will enjoy a tasty typical meal in the village of Xilitla. To finish up your day, you will go to the Huahuas Cave. Birds live in this gigantic 230-foot (70-meter) by 1,568-foot (478 meter) cave. Appreciate the sunset as well as the fantastic animals and plants.
Day 3 – Swim in a Cave and Admire the Gigantic Tamul Waterfall
Next up on your Eco Tour Mexico adventure is a “pangas” (large canoe) trip upstream to Santa Maria’s 4th canyon. There, you will swim in the clear water of a warm cave. After that, you will continue up the river to Tamul Waterfall, an impressive 344-foot-tall (105-meter-tall) waterfall that comes from the Gallanas River.
Day 4 – Witness the Colorful Bridge of God Cave and Discover the Tamasopo Waterfalls
Your Eco Tour Mexico Package adventure continues as you experience the natural wonder Bridge of God (Puente de Dios). This is a cave with bright blue water. As the sun enters the cave, it makes interesting patterns on the water of the rocky cave. There are also beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. After exploring the cave, you will continue on to Tamasopo Waterfalls. There, you can jump into the water, swim, and enjoy the scenery.
Day 5 – Visit the Archaeological Site of Tamtok and Relax in the Taninul Hot Springs
For your final activity, you will get to experience the Huaxteca archaeological and cultural site of Tamtok. After that, you can rest in the Taninul Hot Springs, inside the Sierra Abra Tanchipa protected zone.
