Itinerary

Day 1: Enjoy the Spring Arts & Crafts Fair and a Traditional Fiesta! 
Arrive at St. Paul’s Church in San Miguel at 7:45 am for your 8:00 departure t0 Patzcuaro. You will be provided a sack breakfast en route. Arrive in Patzcuaro and leave your bags at a charming bed and breakfast in the bustling town center. You’ll  walk to a nearby restaurant for lunch*.

Return to B&B where you’ll receive maps and a quick orientation to Patzcuaro and the seasonal activities. From there, spend the afternoon enjoying  Patzcuaro’s annual spring arts and crafts fair as well as galleries and shops around the main plaza. Return to the B&B and meet in the garden for a traditional regional fiesta (cocktails, music, and dinner included)!

Day 2: Explore Tzinzuntzan, Las Yacatas, and an Artisan Market
Enjoy breakfast at the B&B, then meet your guide in the lobby at 9:00 am for departure to Tzintzuntzan. Explore the sacred ceremonial site of the pre-Columbian Tarascan empire known as Las Yacatas. Visit the nearby town to see the stunning former convent of San Franscico and an Easter weekend tradition, then head to the local market to meet the master artisans.

After exploring the area, depart for Patzcuaro in the later morning, and enjoy a boxed lunch en route. Return to the B&B to relax, or visit points of interest in Patzcuaro. In the evening, meet in lobby and walk to a restaurant for dinner*.

Day 3: Visit Master Coppersmith Workshops in Santa Clara de Cobre
Enjoy 8:00 am breakfast at the B&B, then meet your guide in the lobby at 9:30 am to depart for Santa Clara de Cobre. Here, you’ll visit the coppersmith masters’ workshops and have the opportunity to shop for artesanal copper goods around town.

Return to Patzcuarco for lunch* and a free afternoon. At dusk, witness an Easter in Patzcuaro tradition: the stunning “Prosession of Silence.” Then, walk to a local restaurant for dinner*.

Day 4: Say Goodbye to Patzcuarco
Eat breakfast at the B&B, then take the morning to visit the artisan market, explore town, take photos, or relax. Check out at midday and walk to a special restaurant for a farewell luncheon.* Say goodbye to Patzcuerco and depart for San Miguel de Allende. You should arrive at the St. Paul’s Church drop-off point in the late afternoon.
