Your tour starts in the small, sleepy agricultural town of Guayllabamba. The town is known for its cuisine, especially creamy potato soup called “locro.” You will explore the area with your community guide. Then, visit the zoo to learn about the area’s wildlife.
In the late afternoon, you will visit nearby towns and try a variety of exotic fruits from the nearby Andean landscapes. Finally, you will hike on local trails with an Ecuadorian naturalist to learn about the region’s diverse species.
