Come enjoy kayaking, horseback riding, yoga, and a tour of this organic, self-sustaining ranch and its conservation efforts, and a lunch.
Rancho Margot is a self-sufficient organic ranch on the shores of Lake Arenal, in the Rio Cano Negro Valley. Surrounded by the Arenal Forest Reserve and the Children’s Eternal Forest, and cooled by a gentle breeze coming off of the lake, the ranch has its own comfortable microclimate, which is perfect for relaxation and exploration. Come enjoy kayaking, horseback riding, yoga, a tour of the ranch and its conservation efforts, and a lunch.
The ranch is owned by a Chilean who fell in love with the area and, after seeing too many similar paradises around the world devastated by deforestation and human encroachment, he sought to make the ranch land a sustainable destination for travelers to enjoy and help with conservation efforts. Him and his family created an agreement with the Liga Conservacionista de Monteverde (the Monteverde Conservationists League) and formed the Margot Ranger Station.
