This half day of high energy and adrenaline is recommend for physically fit adventure seekers who have some experience with white water rafting, as most of the trip is spent on class III and IV rapids. The rafting begins where the Naranjo River drops abruptly down the mountains and begins to wind its way through jungle gorges and whip around rocky curves. You will charge through pristine rainforest and past pastoral landscapes, cattle ranches, and African Palm plantations, which means you’ll have stunning views all around…when you actually have time to look around!
Your guides are bilingual and experienced rafters and kayakers and each raft is flanked by safety kayakers, who will scope out the river ahead and signal back if there is anything abnormal happening with the water. Your guides will do everything in their power to find the optimal balance of excitement and safety. From May-October, the river generally particularly intense, as it is the rainy season. The trip includes some snacks and refreshments, as well as round-trip transportation from Manuel Antonio.
