Ride on horseback to the La Fortuna Waterfall through the countryside and the rainforest, guided by a local naturalist. Plus, visit a recreated Maleku village.
The tour begins with a one hour ride on rainforest trails, during which your naturalist guide will point out and explain the exotic flora and fauna that you are seeing. You will also ride through gorgeous green Costa Rican countryside, with views of the mighty Arenal Volcano and the inactive Cerro Chato Volcano in the distance. The trail is slow and easy, which is perfect for first-timers, families, and those who want to enjoy the surrounding beauty. Once you reach the entrance to the waterfall path, you will leave the horses and take 300 steps down to the La Fortuna Waterfall. At the base of the falls, you will have a chance to swim in the pool and take photos.
On the ride back, you will stop in a thatched-roof cabaña and learn about the Maleku – one of Costa Rica’s few remaining indigenous groups. You will get to know their art, culture, and language (and you may want to bring a little cash, in case you want some of the art as a souvenir).
After you book your experience, you will receive a confirmation email from us confirming that your payment went through. You will then be connected directly to the tour operator, in case you have any further questions. We are also happy to answer any questions about the tour, or travel in general in your country of destination.
