Cahuita National Park is not only one of the oldest national parks in Costa Rica, it is also considered one of the most beautiful protected areas. It was founded in 1970 to protect the coral reef and it’s not a spot to miss, with its stunning white sand beaches, coconut palms, turquoise sea and colourful reef.

You will be picked up from your hotel for the drive to Cahuita National Park, located about 20 minutes from Puerto Viejo. At the Kelly Creek ranger station you will start a hike. Your professional naturalist tour guide will help you spot and learn about the forest animals such as White Faced monkeys, sloths, snakes, raccoons and many other species. At Cahuita Point, which is around halfway and 2.4 km, you will stop for a short break. Enjoy refreshments or take a relaxing dip in the ocean. You will continue your trek until you exit the park at a different entrance near Puerto Vargas, where a minibus will return you to your hotel.
Departure time will be 8:00 am and 13:00 pm. There will be an extra fee for pick ups at other locations.
