45 minutes boat ride in lake Arenal and 1 km hike through a private path in the National Park Peninsula, the best trail for spotting wildlife and the Arenal Volcano
Arenal Volcano is the greatest attraction in the northern region of Costa Rica and you should enjoy its most picturesque side. This tour combines a relaxing boat ride on the Arenal Lake with a hike through the mesmerizing National Park, while offering you riveting views of this mighty wonder and stunning natural scenery.
The tour starts with a short 20 minute ride to the Arenal Lake dam, where you will board the boat for the ride along the edge of the lake, which will allow you to observe the green rainforest, the islands, surprising aquatic birds and some of the many mammals that live here. If the sky is cloudless, this is the best spot to take awesome pictures of the Arenal Volcano. The naturalist guide will explain the importance of this dam to the economy of Costa Rica, among other things.
The boat ride lasts for 45 minutes. You will arrive at the National Park Peninsula, hopefully ready for a 1km hike. This is the best trail for spotting wildlife and capturing the beauty of the tropical forest, since it is completely private, exclusively for you, due to the studies we perform, and the support we provide.
At the end of the trail, you will be happy to savor fresh tropical fruits. A van will be waiting to take you to the park’s observation point, to get a closer look at the volcano and to find out more details about the history, active cycles, and geological formation of this colossal. For an extended visit you can stop at Tabacon Resort, Baldi Termae, Paradise Hot Springs, or EcoTermales, where you can also enjoy lunch or dinner.
