This fantastic full-day tour combines a Medellin cable car ride with a flower farm visit and a city tour. You’ll get to know Medellin’s culture, history, and attractions. If you have a tight schedule and want to see most of the city in a short time, this tour is perfect for you!
Duration: Full Day
Start and end location: Medellin
To start off your tour, you will journey to the highlands above Medellin to the village of Santa Elena (altitude 7,218 feet/2,200 m). This region has a long tradition of growing flowers. As you visit a flower farm there, you will come to understand the “Silletero” culture. Each year in August, Medellin has a Flower Festival and flowers have become the symbol of the city.
Next, you will drive to the Nature Reserve of Arvi Park and go on a cable car ride high above Medellin to arrive to the Santo Domingo neighborhood. The cable car was constructed to connect the inner city to the outskirts and offers a glance into the lives of the marginalized population. Once you arrive to the city center and downtown Medellin, enjoy traditional “Guasca” music as you explore Berrio Park. Wander through Botero Plaza to admire a city landmark: the sculptures of Colombian artist Fernando Botero. Finally, you will be picked up and taken back to your hotel.
After you book your experience, you will receive a confirmation email from us confirming that your payment went through. You will then be connected directly to the tour operator, in case you have any further questions. We are also happy to answer any questions about the tour, or travel in general in your country of destination.
