After being picked up from your hotel in Santiago, you will head to Chile’s coast, to the seaside home of Nobel Prize-winning poet Pablo Neruda in the picturesque town of Isla Negra. This house has a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean and was built in a unique style to look like the inside of a ship. Inside, you’ll find seashells, momentos, and sea treasures. Your guide will tell you all about the eccentric life and works of Neruda.
Afterwards, you will travel to the quaint artisan village of Pomaire, where you can find beautiful clay pottery and handicrafts. The town is also famous for having the largest “empanadas” in Chile! Browse the shops for souvenirs such as lapiz lazuli jewelry, ponchos, and sombreros and watch local artists at work. Finally, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Santiago.
