Day 1 — Trek in El Morado
From your hotel in Santiago, you’ll head southeast to Cajón del Maipo where you’ll stop at a local market to pick up lunch for your hike. From there, you will continue south to the town of Baños Morales begin your hike to the El Morado National Park, which encompasses the San Francisco Glacier, El Morado Peak, and the Panimavidas hot springs.
While you hike, your guide will teach you about the region’s natural landscape and legends. After the trek (5-6 hours total), you’ll travel to your hotel, Altiplánico San Alfonso. Following check-in, you’ll have the night to relax, eat dinner, and enjoy the peacefulness of the surrounding mountains.
Day 2 — Taste and Tour at Pirque Winery
You’ll start off the day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you’ll have some free time to use the pool and other hotel facilities. Enjoy lunch before heading out to Pirque, where you’ll have the chance to discover one of the most unique and famous vineyards of the region. There you’ll try different types of wine and learn the history of the vineyard on a winery tour. You’ll end your trip with a ride back to your hotel in Santiago.
