Voted by National Geographic among the top 5 most beautiful places on Earth, Torres del Paine is home to towering jagged mountain peaks, crystal blue lakes, and ice fields that extend the entire breadth of the horizon.
On this one-day hike of Torres del Paine, you’ll walk mountain trails through stunning wilderness and encounter spectacular landscapes from the mirrored mountains in Lake Amarga, to the Salto Grande Waterfall, to the jagged Los Cuernos mountain peaks.
Your day will begin at 8:00 am with hotel pick up in Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine National Park. Along the way, you’ll stop at Cerro Castillo, a small village located near the park, where you’ll get the opportunity to experience a glimpse of daily life in remote Patagonia.
From Cerro Castillo, you’ll stop at Lake Sarmiento and Blue Lagoon overlooks for some spectacular views of the mountain landscape and Torres del Paine towering in the distance.
As you enter the park, you’ll check in at the ranger station and begin your first hike from Laguna Amarga to the Salto Grande Waterfall. Along the way, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to spot native wildlife, including pumas, alpaca-like guanacos, condors, and more.
On this Patagonia Torres del Paine tour, you’ll hike to the brilliant green Lake Nordenskjöld, past Lake Pehoe, and to the Salto Grande falls. Upon arrival, you’ll encounter the falls in their full glory — feel the cool mist on your face, hear the roar of the rushing water, and see the breathtaking landscape the towering mountains, lush vegetation, and magnificent, pale blue falls.
From the falls, you’ll continue onward for one of the park’s best looks at Los Cuernos, twin mountain peaks that rise up like giant, jagged horns. You’ll continue along the trail to Pehoe and Weber Bridge, where you’ll walk out to the center of the Lake Toro for an unbeatable look at the mountains.
You’ll end the day with a private transfer back to Puerto Natales.
