The trail from Laguna Verde to Lazo Weber is probably one of Torres del Paine National Park’s best kept secrets. The little-used trails are far from the crowds, and if you come across someone on the trail, there’s a good chance it’ll be a local cowboy herding cattle across the Lazo Ranch.
Your trek will begin on the shore of Laguna Verde (Green Lake) — located within the border of Lazo Ranch. Trekking from east to west along the length of the Paine Mountain Range, you’ll get to observe the mountains from multiple angles. This trek is arguably the best way to see iconic peaks like Almirante Nito, Los Cuernos, Cerro Fortaleza, and Paine Grande.
If you’re interested in local wildlife, bring your binoculars! This trek is a great opportunity for birdwatching. The trail passes through southern beech forests, home to abundant and diverse flora and fauna, including a few bird species endemic (found nowhere else on earth) to the area.
Duration: 5 hours (From 8:30am to 13:00pm)
