Cycling may be one of the best ways to enjoy an experience as close as possible to the nature. On this day trip, you’ll be able to admire the wonders of the region and get a full Patagonian experience. You will start cycling at Bahia el Bote crossing after a 1 hour drive from Puerto Natales and begin a memorable adventure!

You will meet your guide in the early morning who will explain to you the plans for the day and fit you for your bikes. Then you will head out of Puerto Natales by vehicle towards Torres del Paine National Park. On your way, you’ll be able to see the beautiful Milodon Cave, Laguna Sofia, and the Ventisquero River.
After a 1 hour drive, you will reach the Bahía el Bote crossing, located very close to the area’s largest lake, Lago del Toro. There, you will start cycling along a peaceful gravel road from which you’ll be able the enjoy a stunning view of the Cerro Castillo. The route you will be cycling on is about 29.2 miles (47 kilometers), the first 22 (35 kilometers) of which are gravel. The support vehicle will be there all throughout the day.
On the way, you’ll be amazed by the tranquility of this route, cycling alongside working estancias (Patagonian ranches) and rolling hills. If you’re lucky and happen to go on a clear day you will even see the Macizo Paine, the most iconic mountain massif of Torres del Paine National Park. You will also be able to observe the fauna of the area, with animals such as guanacos, foxes, armadillos, condors, and many different species of birds.
At the end of the gravel route, you will reach the main road, where you will have two options; you can either head towards Torres del Paine National Park or towards the small village of Cerro Castillo. Please be aware that these last 10 kilometers can be very windy. The most experienced can even keep pedaling all the way to the park! At the end of the day, you will either be taken to Torres del Paine National Park or back to Puerto Natales depending on your plans.
