Your local guide will pick you up at your hotel at 7:30 am (don’t worry if that sounds early – the start time is flexible!). You will begin at Padre Hurtado Market, which is a great introduction to Chilean markets and a perfect spot for a coffee and conversation with local people. Also, you will be taken to President Ibañez Market, a place where a large variety of farm products and seafood from the nearby islands are sold.
Besides that, you will visit the downtown and appreciate the interesting mix of architecture, which is a mix of Chilean, German, and indigenous Mapuche design. Angelmo will be another stop of your tour, it’s the most complete market in Southern Chile. Here, you will enjoy lunch and a glass of the local “cold tea” (white wine).
