On this Punucapa Kayaking Day Tour, experience a river and wetland ecosystem by kayak as you paddle from Isla Teja on the Cruces River. Along the way, keep an eye out for diverse bird species such as swans and herons. You could even see sea lions! Then, explore the town of Punucapa and get to know local culture as you enjoy a traditional meal. Join us for a fun day in a beautiful natural environment!

Duration: 7 hours (8:00 am-15:30 pm)
Start and end location: Valdivia
Availability in 2019: January 2-March 31 (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays), April 13 and 27, May 11 and 25, June 8, September 28, October 12 and 26, November 9 and 23, December 7 and 21
You will board your kayak at Teja Island, Valdivia. The river navigation will take you into the heart of the Cruces River wetlands and Tres Bocas Island. Later, you will paddle to Huapi Chica Island, where you will rest and enjoy a rural lunch. You will finish your journey at a secret dock of El Potrero, near Punucapa. From there, you will return to Valdivia by van.
8:00-8:30 am – Transfer from Valdivia the dock. The meeting point is next to the river market.
8:30 am – Start the kayak navigation, towards Brazo de la Culebra and Tres Bocas Island, in the heart of the wetlands.
10:00 am – Stop to enjoy a snack and rest before continuing on.
12:00 pm – Reach Huapi Chica Island, in the San Ramon Estuary. Enjoy a rural lunch and have time to rest.
15:00 pm – Go up the San Ramon stream, located at the foot of Oncol Hill. Finish your kayak navigation at the dock of El Potrero. Observe birds.
16:30 pm – Travel back to Valdivia by van, with visits to a trout farm and the historical town of Punucapa. From the town’s cemetery, enjoy a beautiful view over the wetlands.
18:30 pm – Arrive to Valdivia.
Transport by van from Valdivia to Isla Teja or Santa Rosa (one way) and from El Potrero and Punucapa to Valdivia (return)
Snack at 10:00 am
Lunch at Huapi Chica Island at 12:00 pm

This tour is not suitable for pregnant women, minors, people who are injured, and people with reduced mobility.
This tour requires a minimum of 5 passengers and a maximum of 12. If you have fewer than 5 or more than 12, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will try to find a group for you.
This tour must be booked 48 hours in advance.
To get a refund, you must cancel the reservation 3 days before the start of the tour.
