Begin your Mapuche People Cultural Tour at 10:00 am with a welcome gathering to meet your Mapuche hosts and prepare for the day. From there, meet a Mapuche “seeds protector” and tour her ecological medicinal plants garden to learn about Mapuche traditional medicine.

Then, the local Mapuche community will welcome you into a traditional ruka house for a lunch of locally-grown Mapuche cuisine.

After lunch, walk with your guide to the Salto de Copihupulli waterfall for a look at spectacular natural landscapes, and how nature and Mapuche culture align and intersect.

Upon your return to the community, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from a Mapuche longko elder. The elder will speak to you about the land, history, and ways of life of the Mapuche people.
