Patagonia is home to a wonderful wildlife and natural beauty. On this day tour, you will be able to enjoy some of Chiloe’s National Reserves and spot dozens of penguins. The boat ride to reach Puñihuil volcanic islands will make you dive into into Patagonia’s pristine nature. Furthermore, you will also get a cultural aspect of the region by discovering the city of Ancud and its traditional houses.

You will leave from your hotel in Puerto Varas or Puerto Montt and travel directly to Chiloe Island. After crossing the Chacao Channel from Pargua to Chacao, you will head toward the Lacuy Peninsula, an islet that is home to hundreds of penguins and sea birds.
On the Bay of Cocotue, you will take a 30 minute boat ride to Islote Puñihuil – a rocky, volcanic cluster of three islands. During the ride, you will get a chance to see Humboldt Penguins, Magellanic Penguins, Otters, Carancas, Cormorants, Ducks, Quetrus Voladores, and other local birds.
On the way back to Puerto Montt or Puerto Varas, you will stop for some excellent picture-taking opportunities in Ancud at The Market and the San Antonio Fortress.
