Welcome to this unique Dangriga tour that allows you to experience like a true local this little town. The village of Dangriga still remains undiscovered, there are no fancy resorts or restaurants, just genuine local cuisine and it’s people.
Our first stop in this tour is the Marie Sharp Hot Sauce factory, if you are a fan of Hot Sauce you will definitely have an amazing time in this factory and the free samples we will get. Once we are done trying all the hot sauce we can, we will visit the Gulisi Garifuna Museum, here we will learn about the history of our Garifuna people, their customs and beliefs.
After this we will head to the hut, a beautiful local spot with thatch roof and sandy grounds, here we will enjoy some live garifuna drumming, and also eat some delicious hudut, a traditional Garifuna meal. Garifuna cuisine is very important for this culture, it doesn’t get more real than this! After this amazing lunch we head over to the studio gallery of legendary Maestro Pen Cayetano: Painter, singer, songwriter and guitarist. His studio is an old colonial house built in the early 1900s, amazing place with so much history.
