This tour to Argentinean Patagonia begins in Buenos Aires, where you will be able to visit some the most important neighborhoods: La Boca, Palermo and Recoleta. You will get to know about the history, architecture, and culture of the city.
From there you will then go to Patagonia, more specifically to Ushuaia. You will be able to see Mountains, glaciers, channels, rivers, and lakes. Your visits will include Tierra del Fuego National Park, a cruise Beagle Channel, as well as hikes and canoe rides.
Your trip will then continue to El Calafate, which is home to the spectacular Perito Moreno Glacier. You will have the opportunity to walk on the glacier, a once in a lifetime experience. Another amazing experience will be a 4×4 tour that will enable you to appreciate unique views of Lake Argentino.
You will finally spend a few days in El Chaltén, this place will feel like heaven for trek-lovers. This area is full of trails in the middle of the nature, lakes, rivers, and forests. The trip will end in Buenos Aires, where you will be able to enjoy a local milonga.

Day 1: Buenos Aires City Tour
You will arrive to the city Buenos Aires and be transferred to your hotel in the neighborhood of Palermo. In the afternoon, a specialist in History and Architecture of the city will take you on a tour around the colorful streets of Caminito in the neighborhood of La Boca. Then, you will go to the historic center of the city and see Plaza de Mayo, the Cabildo, and San Telmo.
Duration: 3 hours.
Day 2: Bicycle tour
In the morning a local guide will take you on a biking tour around the northern neighborhoods of the Argentine capital. Stroll through the aristocratic neighborhood of Recoleta (Plaza San Martín), the forests and lakes of Palermo and the Rose Garden.
You will then have a free afternoon.
Duration: 4 hours
Recommendation: In the afternoon we suggest visiting one of the following places: National Museum of Fine Arts – Museum of Decorative Art – Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA) – Recoleta Cultural Center – Recoleta Cemetery – Generic Floralis – Japanese Garden – Botanical Garden.
Day 3: Welcome to Ushuaia, Southern Patagonia
This third day will begin with a transfer to the airport to take your flight to Ushuaia, capital of Tierra del Fuego and the southernmost city in the world. Once there, you will be taken to the hotel and you will have the rest of the day off to be able to explore the city on your own.
Recommendation: In the afternoon we recommend visiting one of the following places: End of the World Museum – Maritime and Presidio Museum in Ushuaia – Plaza Islas Malvinas
Day 4: Tierra del Fuego National Park
This Southern Patagonia will keep going with a guided hike through the trails of the Tierra del Fuego National Park, where you will have lunch (included) at Roca Lake.
In the afternoon, you will embark on a canoe towards the Bay of Lapataia while learning about the millinery forests of the region. After that, you will go back to your hotel in Ushuaia.
Day 5: Boat trip on the Beagle Channel
Today you will go on a boat trip to marvel at the transparent waters of the Beagle Channel and explore the local fauna (sea lions and cormorants). You will then reach H Island (one of the many of Bridges archipelago). Together with your guide, you are going visit the archaeological sites of the Yámanas, an indigenous group that lived in this archipelago of Southern Patagonia.
After that you will go back to your hotel in Ushuaia and have a free afternoon.
Day 6: Welcome to El Calafate
This day will start with a transfer to Ushuaia airport to take your flight to El Calafate and then a transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon you will go on a 4×4 excursion during which you will be able to appreciate the views of the Andes Mountains and the turquoise waters of the Argentino Lake. You will then reach an archaeological site with prehistoric cave paintings (more than 4000 years old). After that, you are going to enjoy a Patagonian dinner in a cave before heading back to the hotel.
Day 7: Sailing Upsala Glacier & Trekking Cañadón de los Fósiles
You will take a catamaran to reach Estancia Cristina, while enjoying majestic views of the western wall of the Upsala Glacier. You are going to sail among mountains and icebergs to finally disembark at Estancia Cristina where you will board a 4×4 to ascend the mountains.
There you will leave the vehicle and begin a hike towards Upsala Viewpoint. You will see some stunning views of Lake Guillermo, the eastern wall of the Upsala Glacier and the Southern Patagonian Continental Ice Field. At this point you will start a 14 km (8.7 miles) trek to enter the Cañadón de los Fósiles, named this way for its great concentration of fossils, which were discovered by glacial action.
Duration: The tour lasts 11 hours.
Day 8: Welcome to El Chaltén
After approximately 3 hours by bus, appreciating the beautiful Patagonian landscape, you will reach El Chaltén, located at the foot of the Mount or Cerro Fitz Roy. On the banks of the Río de las Vueltas you will find this small town known as the ”capital of trekking” in Argentina. You will have a free afternoon to explore El Chaltén.
Recommendation: Some simple and short walks are: Chorrillo del Salto (1 hr) – Mirador del Torre (3 hrs) – Laguna Capri – (4 hrs).
Day 9: Free day in El Chaltén
Today you will have the day off so that you can experience the city of trekking! As its name suggests, we recommend an amazing hike to Laguna de los Tres.
Recommendation: Laguna de los Tres: It is one of the most popular hikes among trek-lovers (10 km, 6 miles). You can also go on a 9 to 10 hours walk to Monte Fitz Roy and a lake with turquoise waters views. The hanging Piedras Blancas glacier and the Capri Lagoon are two amazing points to contemplate the beauty and tranquility of the place.
Day 10: Free day in El Chaltén
For this 10th a great option would be to go hiking to Laguna Torre, one of the other best hikes of the region.
Recommendation: Laguna Torre: it is a valley walk that takes from 8 to 9 hours. It will give you an overview of the beautiful surrounding mountains and glaciers. After only 15 minutes you will reach a viewpoint with a panoramic view of the Solo Hills, Cord Adela, Cerro Torre and Mount Fitz Roy. Cerro Torre is one of the most incredible views of the area.
Day 11: Return to Buenos Aires
You are going to take a transfer by bus to El Calafate airport to take your flight to Buenos Aires, and later be transferred to your hotel. At night, you will be able to immerse yourself in Argentine popular culture. A local guide will take you to enjoy a ”milonga”, a typical hall where tango lovers gather to dance this traditional dance declared as World Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO. You will be able to take a class to learn and practice your first step to fully enjoy the spirit of a Buenos Aires tango night.
Day 12: End of the trip
After the breakfast you will take your transfer to the international airport.
