Itinerary

This mountain bike Quebrada El Toro circuit begins with hotel pick-up in Salta and transfer to the village of Campo Quijano where you’ll get outfitted for you bike and meet your guide.

You’ll set out from Campo Quijano along the gorge, where you’ll get outstanding looks at deep canyons, and lush vegetation (in the summer months).

From the canyon, you’ll cross a high bridge that connects you to the famous Train to the Clouds route. The railroad is among the highest on Earth, and you’ll check out a few abandoned stations and learn about its awesome history.

Continue along your leveled route then, hop off your bikes and take a short hike to the Chorro Azul waterfall. This stunning cascade is the perfect spot to rest and recharge before continuing on to the second part of your route.

The last 3.5 miles of your route are all downhill, so you’ll have plenty of opportunity to marvel at the outstanding landscape all around you. Upon arrival at your end destination, a vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Salta.
