Day 1 – Get to know Mendoza
Welcome to Mendoza: Argentine wine country and heartland of the Malbec grape. A quick look around, and you’ll notice our breath-taking mountains, including the snow-capped Mount Aconcagua, America’s highest peak and a Mecca for climbers, rafters, trekkers–and sommeliers–across the world. Our grapes grow in some of the highest growing altitudes on earth and under year-round sunny skies, providing Mendoza unique growing conditions, and delicious wine.
We’ll provide a private shuttle service to your hotel, where you’ll have the evening to relax and take some time to yourself.
Day 2 – Mendoza: Full day winery tours with gourmet lunch
Today, we’ll get acquainted with Argentine wine through private winery tours of 3 of the region’s wineries, and with the expert knowledge of a trained specialist. You’ll get an in-depth look at the unique growing and production processes of Mendoza Argentina wine, as well as how Mendoza’s wine industry has developed since the 19th century. And what’s a winery tour without wine tastings? At each of the 3 wineries, you’ll enjoy some of Mendoza’s most indicative wines, and decide which one is your favorite!
Throughout the day, we’ll visit the following Mendoza wineries:
Bodega Vistalba- Founded by Carlos Pulenta, this boutique winery is rooted to Pulenta’s own history and identity, and known for its innovative, cutting-edge production processes and deep connection to Creole culture.
Bodega Tapiz- One of Argentina’s most awarded wineries, Tapiz is included among Wine & Spirits Top 100 Wineries. Founded by winemaker Fabian Valenzuela and Jean Claude Berrouet, Bodega Tapiz is named for the earth, climate, fruit, and oak aging that each contribute to the stunning tapestry (tapiz) of wine production.
Bodega Septima- As one of the region’s largest wineries, Bodega Septima makes an impression with its outstanding production quality and a rapport reminiscent of a small-scale winery. Here, with a scenic look at the Andes Mountains, we’ll enjoy a five course meal that perfectly harmonizes with their extraordinary wines.
