Through the Argentina and Brazil tours, you’ll enjoy exciting nightlife, sexy tango and samba, and the most spectacular waterfalls in the world!
Day 1 – Buenos Aires
Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport where a private transfer will bring you to your hotel. You will have the day to discover this vibrant city, explore the historic neighborhoods, and enjoy the cafe culture of Buenos Aires.
Often described as the “Paris of South America,” Buenos Aires proudly boasts this title while still showing off plenty of its own unique culture. Explore traditional European architecture, cobblestone streets lined with picturesque outdoor cafes, local antique and artisanal markets, and the alluring aroma of prized Argentine beef cooking on an open “parrilla” (barbeque.) Buenos Aires is home to many talented local designers. You won’t have a problem finding the perfect leather jacket, long leather boots, handmade handbags, and so much more! Buenos Aires is most famous for being the “home of the tango.” Don’t miss the opportunity to experience a traditional dinner-tango show and visit the vibrant San Telmo and Recoleta neighborhoods.
Day 2 – Buenos Aires City Tour & Tango Show
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy a city tour of Buenos Aires. You will visit the historical and political centre of the city; San Telmo and its cobbled streets, La Boca for tango, and the chic, aristocratic Recoleta with grand palaces that will remind you of why Buenos Aires has been coined the “Paris of the South.”
In the evening, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to one of Buenos Aires’ most famous locations, Tango in Buenos Aires. Here you will enjoy dinner and a tango show and experience some of the finest local dancing, rich Argentine cuisine, and all the malbec that you can possibly drink. At the end of the night, you will be driven back to your hotel.
Day 3 – Travel to Iguazu
Today you will head to the airport to take your flight to Iguazu. Iguazu is a small and peaceful town and serves as the gateway to the famous Iguazu Falls, which have been recently declared as one of the New Seven Natural Wonders! Upon arrival, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. You will then have the afternoon to relax and enjoy the warm climate and jungle setting.
Day 4 – Iguazu National Park: Argentine Side
After breakfast you will depart on a full day tour to the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls. Here you enjoy have stunning views of this section of the Iguazu River. Your guide will show you all of the hidden gems of the park and venture off the beaten path to show you the best views. This immense 210 square mile reserve provides visitors with a multitude of views of the falls. You will finish your tour with a beautiful ecological train ride. After the tour, you will be brought back to your hotel in the late afternoon.
Note: In the park, there are various trips available for an additional cost. Some popular ones include the “Gran Aventura” and “Aventura Nautica”, in which the Iguazu boat trip takes you to the base of the falls. This excursion is highly recommended if you want to experience the true power of the Iguazu Falls. (There is a 100% chance that you will get wet… Be sure to bring extra clothes if you want to do this excursion.) This day will be full of thrills and is an absolute must for the adventurer at heart.
Day 5 – Iguazu National Park: Brazilian Side
After breakfast, you will begin your Brazil tours with a visit to the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls. Here you will enjoy vast panoramic views of the falls, allowing you to experience them in their full entirety.
Note: All Brazil tours require that most tourists have a visa to visit the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls. Please check with the Brazilian Consulate to make sure that you have the appropriate visa before traveling or you will not be permitted to enter Brazil. US citizens, Canadians & Australians (and other nationalities) need a visa to visit the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls.
Day 6 – Travel to Rio de Janeiro
Today you will be transferred to the Foz de Iguaçu airport to take your flight to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival, you will be driven to your hotel at which point you will have the rest of the day to explore the enchanting city or spend time relaxing by the beach. The colorful mix of beach, mountains, colonial neighborhoods, and modernist style make this city one of “a thousand places to see before you die.” Rio is often described as the most beautiful city in the world.
Day 7 – Rio de Janeiro Tours: Corcovado & Tijuca Forest
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy a half-day trip to the Corcovado Hill. Located in the Tijuca Atlantic Forest (the largest urban forest in the world), the statue of Christ the Reedemer, one of Rio’s most iconic images, can be found here. The Corcovado Hill is an essential site to see while in Rio. From the Corcovado, you will be able to see the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, the Rodrigo Freitas Lagoon, and the Botanical Garden. From the D. Marta belvedere, you will be able to see the Guanabara Bay and the Sugar Loaf. This trip also includes a short walk on a forest trail up to the Cascatinha Fall.
Day 8 – Rio de Janeiro Tours – Half day to Sugar Loaf
Today, you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy the other side of wonderful Rio on the third day of your Brazil tours. The day begins with a city view through the downtown, passing by the Sambodrome and the Metropolitan Cathedral. You’ll get to know the traditional Cinelândia square’s historical buildings, the Municipal Theater, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts. This visit is made possible by two cable cars. The first cable car takes passengers to Urca Hill (215 meters high) from where you will have a beautiful view of the Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói bridge, and Corcovado hill. From here, a second cable car will take you to the top (395 meters) where you’ll enjoy an unbeatable view of the Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress, and some beaches of Niterói.
Day 9 – Rio de Janeiro – End of your Argentina & Brazil Tours
Today you will be brought to the airport via private shuttle to board your trip back home. Safe travels!
